What is the AIR STIM probe?

The AIR STIM probe is a perineal rehabilitation device. It combines the functionalities of a probe with two circular electrodes (electrical stimulation and/or BioFeedback) with those of a pressure probe.

Its gold electrodes reduce the risk of allergies and enhance the quality of the current.

Perineal rehabilitation consists of a set of techniques and exercises aimed at strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

The perineum is a group of muscles and tissues located between the pubis and the coccyx, supporting pelvic organs such as the bladder, the uterus (in women), and the rectum.

How does it work?

The AIR STIM probe features two female banana plugs in different colors (red and black), as well as a LUER banana connection.

It offers five distinct stimulations:

Simultaneous EMG BioFeedback and Pressure BioFeedback

Electrical stimulation

EMG BioFeedback (BFB EMG)

Pressure BioFeedback (BFB Pressure)

Simultaneous electrical stimulation and pressure measurement

For Pressure BioFeedback stimulation, you must use a Luer valve to maintain air pressure within the probe.

The probes operate with an electrostimulation device. These devices are used to help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles by delivering low-intensity electrical currents.

How to Use the AIR STIM Probe?

The AIR STIM probe must be inserted into the vagina, and its cables should be connected to the stimulator.

The therapist, after determining the issue through a manual assessment, will initiate a rehabilitation session using the preset or customized programs of the electrostimulation device.

The program duration varies between 15 and 30 minutes.
