Our vaginal probes

Our vaginal probes for perineal rehabilitation are designed for the treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor strengthening, and postpartum rehabilitation. Used with a stimulator, they effectively target the perineal muscles.

Our anal probes

Anal probes are recommended for male and female perineal rehabilitation, particularly in cases of anal incontinence or after prostate surgery. They enable precise muscle work thanks to electrostimulation.

Our stimulators

Our electrostimulation devices are designed to support rehabilitation at home or in the clinic. They help strengthen the pelvic floor and improve urinary control. They are compatible with our vaginal and anal probes, and with most self-adhesive electrodes on the market.

Our pessaries

Pessaries are medical devices used to support pelvic organs in cases of prolapse (descent of organs). They are a non-surgical solution that improves everyday comfort and can be prescribed by a healthcare professional. They come in different shapes and sizes.

Reimbursement for perineal probes *in France

In order for Health Insurance to cover a perineal probe (whether vaginal or anal), the following is required:

  • have a medical prescription indicating the need for the device,

  • that the probe is approved by the Health Insurance system (it appears on the list of reimbursable products called LPPR) .

Reimbursement basis

  • The perineal probe is reimbursed on an annual basis up to a maximum of €25.92.

  • The French national health insurance system reimburses 60% of this amount, or approximately €15.55.

  • The remaining 40% (approximately €10.36) may be covered by your health insurance, depending on your policy.

NB: If the probe costs more than this base price, the difference may, depending on your mutual insurance company, be reimbursed in full or in part by the latter, but not by the CPAM alone.

Reimbursement for devices *in France

A stimulator (electrostimulation device for perineal rehabilitation) may also be covered if it is prescribed by a healthcare professional and approved by the French national health insurance system (Assurance Maladie).

    Reimbursement basis

    • The maximum reimbursement amount for a perineal stimulator is €304.90.
    • The French national health insurance system reimburses 60% of the base amount, up to €182.94 (if the price of the device is at least equal to the base price).
    • The remaining 40% may be reimbursed by your supplementary health insurance, depending on your policy.
Please note: If your device costs more than €304.90, the CPAM will not reimburse the excess amount; in this case, your mutual insurance company may cover it depending on your coverage.
    Duration of treatment perineal rehabilitation

The duration of perineal rehabilitation varies depending on the situation (postpartum, urinary incontinence, prostate surgery, pelvic floor weakness, etc.).

    On average:

    • A prescription includes 10 to 20 sessions with a healthcare professional (midwife or physical therapist).

    • In the case of self-rehabilitation at home with electrostimulation, treatment generally lasts 6 to 12 weeks, with several sessions per week.

The first results may appear after a few weeks, but regularity is essential for lasting muscle strengthening.

Your healthcare professional is still the best person to adapt the duration of treatment to your situation.

How do I get my refund *in France

As part of pelvic floor rehabilitation, certain devices may be covered by health insurance when prescribed by a healthcare professional.

To facilitate your reimbursement, here are the four steps to follow.

    STEP 1: The prescription

Before placing an order, you must have a medical prescription.

Your prescription can be issued by a licensed healthcare professional (general practitioner, specialist, or midwife).

Before placing your order, please take a few seconds to check that the prescription includes:

    • your first and last name

    • the prescription date

    • the prescribed product

This information is essential for the Health Insurance system to process your claim.

    STEP 2: Placing your order

Once you have obtained your prescription, you can order the prescribed product directly on our website.

    When placing your order:

    • select the product indicated on your prescription

    • enter the billing address with the same name as the one on the prescription

This correspondence is important to avoid any administrative refusal when requesting reimbursement.

    STEP 3: The treatment form

When placing your order, you can choose to receive your treatment form (CERFA).

Once you receive it, simply fill it out with the following information:

    • your Social Security number

    • your date of birth

    • the prescriber’s contact details

    • your signature

This information allows the French national health insurance system (Assurance Maladie) to identify your file and process your request.

If you forgot to select the option to receive your treatment form, you can simply contact us at the following address: contact@sugar-international.com

    STEP 4: Shipping

To finalize your reimbursement request, simply send the following to your CPAM:

    • the completed treatment form (CERFA)

    • your prescription

These documents will enable the Health Insurance to assess your coverage.

Remember to keep your invoice, as your mutual insurance company may ask for it in order to complete your reimbursement.
